  Do NOT, under any circumstance, go to these people to have your taxes done! I have been a loyal customer of Jackson Hewitt for 8 years now, but no more. I used them only because they promised to go with you if you are ever audited. It was worth it to me to pay someone a little to have that sort of insurance. I stopped by the temp. branch in the local Wal-Mart on Beal parkway. Asked if I could have the fee taken directly out of my return and have a simple 1040EZ filed. "Sure, no problem" was the reply, it will be $38.00." After 30 seconds of figuring up my tax return, I was then informed it was going to cost an additional $87.00 from the bank process fee... Mind you, this is for a 1040EZ... I decided that was too much, didn't have the $38.00 one me that they planned to charge me and I'd thought I would just come back later. I asked for my W2 back. The representative then told me to hold on, called her office, as to why, I'm not exactly sure, but she then told me the office said, "If he's came back the past years, he'll come back again, just wait." All well and fine so far, right? Well, I asked for my W2 back and the lady wouldn't give it to me. I attempted to pick it up... she wouldn't let go of it. She told me she had to keep copy 1. I told her no, it's my W2 and I wanted it back. I would return when I could. Instead, she hastily started to tear copy 1 off. I told her again I wanted my W2 and she did not give it to me, but removed copy 1, sloppily if I might add, folding it quickly and tearing, while my hand was on it, tugging at it! She literally pulled it from my hand and kept the top copy. Not worth it to me, so I just got up and left with copy 2 and 3 and decided I'd just do my own 1040ez... Like I should have in the first place! I then proceeded to call the Shalimar office and asked to speak to a supervisor. It took some time as the lady who answered kept wanting me to tell her, so she could relay the message to the supervisor. After insisting I speak to a supervisor, I was then transferred, finally. The supervisor was immediately combative and defending her employee, talking over me, wouldn't allow me to voice my concern, literally called me a liar and said her employee gave my W2 back to me! SHE DIDN'T and still has copy 1! ( and I'm sure the Walmart security camera has all of this recorded) At this point, I realized just what type of people Jackson Hewitt really are and decided to wash my hands from them, totally. I shall never, ever, use their service again and I strongly recommend to anyone considering them, to reconsider. Turbo tax is much cheaper, faster and you will not have to give a penny to Jackson Hewitt. That lady literally, STOLE my copy1 of my W2!!!
